To Mother Road’s Fans,
Thank you for being part of Mother Road Brewing Company’s continuing adventure. Your support of the brewery and purchases of our beer have fueled incredible growth the past several years. We ended last year with an approximate production of 4,100 barrels; an incredible feat in our small 3,000 square foot Southside brewery and tasting room.
While this production is remarkable, it is also the maximum amount of beer we can presently produce. It is humbling that Arizonans and New Mexicans drink every pint we brew, but we realize it has led to shortages of our beer on shelves and tap towers in your favorite bars and restaurants. So here’s what we’re going to do to produce enough beer to meet your demand.
We have partnered with Brian Helton and Helton Brewing Company who will assist us in producing more beer for the next six months, staring in mid-January. The beer made at Helton will be brewed directly by Mother Road’s brewers with Brian’s support. This allows Mother Road additional beer to quench your thirst until June.
In June, we open our new 8,000 square foot production facility and tasting room at 1300 East Butler Avenue in Flagstaff. The Mikes Pike location will remain open as a tap room and an experimental brewhouse (Yes! We’ll be able to do specialty brews again!). The Butler brewery will be able to produce 8,000 barrels in 2017 and can grow to an annual capacity of 20,000 barrels. This will ensure plentiful Mother Road beer and give us many years of continued growth.
We understand that the next few months will have tight supplies of beer. Our brew team is working hard and our distributors are doing exemplary work to move our beer across two states for you. We will do our best until the new facility is online and beg your forgiveness if we do not provide the service and availability of beer you have come to expect from the Mother Road team.
Please reach out to either of us to discuss our service, beers, or the new facility. Again, thank you for being part of the Mother Road family!
